iPhone coming to Virgin Mobile in February 2010

Given that Virgin Mobile is now owned by Bell, it doesn’t come as a complete surprise that the Canadian carrier will also be offering up the iPhone in the country.

Unfortunately, Virgin Mobile loyalists will have to wait for next year to get their hands on one. The iPhone is slated for a February launch which ,in turn, confirms that Virgin Mobile will be hopping on-board the HSPA bandwagon as well. Even though pricing wasn’t made available, based on its retail price across the big three in Canada, the entry-level variant, the iPhone 3G 8GB, will most likely retail for $99 with the top-of-the-line iPhone 3G S 32GB model priced at $299. iPhone plans, on the other hand, are a completely different story.
In related news, it was also reported that Virgin Mobile will also be releasing a prepaid CDMA Wireless internet stick soon. Word is that it’s the Novatel Wireless U760 USB modem which Bell released a couple of months back, but this is yet to be confirmed. It is, however, expected to retail for $149.99 once it gets unleashed to the awaiting public. We’ll report more on this once additional info becomes available.
