We live in Orangeville but have a cottagenear Owen Sound. Can I use my mobile phone fro Owen Sound
There's coverage in area but using a partner's network (Away coverage)
AWAY coverage is service provided by our roaming partners in Canada and the US where we the WIND network hasn't developed yet. You are charged low flat pay per use rates while in AWAY coverage. Our current rates are $0.15/min, $0.05/text and $0.05/MB. Your rates are good across Canada and the US so you can call San Diego from St. John’s or vice versa and you pay the same with no extra long distance charges.
Your phone will keep you posted when you are AWAY. When you’re AWAY, the word “AWAY” will appear on your phone's screen.
Carl P is correct, however if you look at the WIND coverage map, you'll see that even if services are offered for WIND in orangeville, you wont actually be on the WIND network. This means you'll be paying alot! To quote the website: "You are charged low flat pay per use rates while in AWAY coverage. Our current rates are $0.15/min, $0.05/text and $0.05/MB" (as of 10/08/14)
