Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you Nokia’s latest touchscreen offering: the Nokia N900 Rover, also known as the RX-51. Nokia hasn’t officially announced this baby yet, but it has already been approved by the FCC and appears to be headed for a T-Mobile debut in the US.

Running on their new Maemo 5 platform, the Nokia Rover also features a decently sized 3.5-inch 800x480 resistive touchscreen display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual-LED flash and sliding cover, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP support, quad-band GSM/EDGE, WCDMA 900/1700/2100MHz, QWERTY keypad, and 32GB internal memory expandable via microSD card. At the heart of it is an ARM cortex A8 600MHz (max 1GHz) processor similar to the ones found on the iPhone 3G S and Palm Pre so you know this baby won’t be a slouch as far as processing speed is concerned. Software performance, though, is a completely different story.

We still don’t know when this will be released into the market, if it will make it to Canada or not, and how much it will cost. Nonetheless, with its gorgeous looks and drool-worthy specs, you can be assured that we’ll be keeping an eye out for this one.
