We weren’t that impressed with the black Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2, but this new silver version quickly got our attention.
Not only does it look better in silver and white, this latest set of pics shows off a working XPERIA X2. True to the rumored specs, the X2 has Windows Mobile 6.5under the hood. Likewise, you can see the advantage of having a larger 3.5-inch display (up from 3-inch) as it adds more touchscreen real-estate space for the user to play around with. Too bad, though, that we didn’t get too see the new Panels for this version, but we’re guessing it’ll eventually surface.
If Sony Ericsson can ship this bad boy before the year comes to a close, they’ve got a very good handset that may rival the other Windows Mobile 6.5-powered phones scheduled to hit the market later this year. Releasing in Q1 of 2010, they may still have a chance, but after that, it’ll be a totally different scenario altogether.
