Sony Ericsson XPERIA fan boys out there, listen up! We’ve got an update on the XPERIA X2 we reported last week, and it covers most of its significant features.

This info is courtesy of a regular poster at the Mobile-Review forums. Aside from an 8-megapixel camera which is quite obvious in the pictures, the new XPERIA phone will come with a 3.5-inch WVGA OLED touchscreen, a faster processor, 512MB RAM, GPS and A-GPS, accelerometer, and a custom Windows Mobile 6.5 as well as XPERIA panels support for PS3 remote play. It’s also reported that the new XPERIA panels will be compatible if and when you decide to upgrade it Windows Mobile 7. It’s certainly a delectable spec sheet especially with the inclusion of a bigger and better display, and the 8-megapixel autofocus camera.

Unfortunately, we neither have a tentative price nor release date to look forward to although it was mentioned to be cheaper than the Nokia N97. Anyway, given the massive delay in the release of their first XPERIA phone, we might have to wait a couple of months to a whole year or even more before Sony Ericsson finally unleashes this new XPERIA X2 phone in the market.
