Still pissed off at Rogers for extending the eligibility period for their Hardware Upgrade Program to 24-months instead of the usual 12 months? Well, here’s something that will appease you disgruntled subscribers out there.

Based on this document courtesy of iPhone in Canada, it’s confirmed that Rogers will indeed be reverting back to the old 12-month scheme for their HUP. This is effective beginning today, but do note that this is just on a limited-time basis only. Another caveat here is that it will only be made available for those with a voice plan. Data plan subscribers are out of luck as they’ll still need to wait for 24-months to go by before they become eligible for Rogers’ Hardware Upgrade program.

Rogers' HUP Policy Change

It’s not exactly what I would call a convincing explanation. Nonetheless, be that as it may, it’s still good to see the 12-month tenure period reinstated even though it’s not applicable for all Rogers’ subscribers.
