While Motorola has yet to officially announce their intent on launching an Android phone, both LG and Samsung have already expressed their intent to have one of their own. That's the good news.
The bad news is that we'll have to wait until the 3rd quarter of 2009 for it to be unveiled, and that’s if everything goes well, which means that it could still be bumped off to a later date. That’s one hell of a wait, and by then, all the hype of the Android OS might have died down a little considering how fast technology is developing with new phones launching left and right. Who knows, maybe by then we'll even see the 3rd generation iPhone.
In my personal opinion, if they want to ride on the initial success of the Android phone, they should release a host of new phones from now until the 3Q of 2009.
