EXCELLENT PHONE

I have had this phone for 3 years and it has been awesome! very durable I have dropped it on form all most all heights and it is still kicking!! I love it!!

Good phone, sprint sucks

from Amazon
This phone has lasted me several years now, has great receptions, holds a lot of text messages. I don't think the camera takes the best pictures. Most of my problems while I've had this phone, wasn't the phone itself, but Sprint's terrible customer service. If you have a problem, you're out of luck with Sprint.

Pro: Style, durability, loud, size Con: Picture/video quality, memory for storing ringtones/screensavers, battery life, speakerphone I have had this phone for 2 1/2 years now and I did love it but just like it now. The phone is durable because I've dropped it a number of times and unlike my other phones, it didn't snap in half. I wish they would of had a better color selection but at least there isn't just the blan silver color. Compared to my other cell phones, this one is so much louder and I love that. I also love the fact that the outerscreen can have the same screensaver as my normal screen. Now..the cons. After 2 years my buttons once in a while will stop working but I'm figureing it's from ware and tear. The picture quality sucks. The amount of memory to hold ringtones, screensavers, applications is also horrible but it does help you get rid of some stuff on your phone that you don't use. The battery life was good for a while but now I think I need a new one, again I think it's just because of ware and tear on it. I like the speakerphone because of the sound but it's hard for the other person to hear you when you are trying to talk into it. I always have to hold it super close to my mouth which I think totally degates the point of the speakerphone. Other than those...I really enjoy this phone. Less

I started with the Sanyo 8100, and have kept this model phone all the way to my current MM-8300. It's very durable and has excellent reception. This is one of the only phones that I know of, that can actually work in an elevator or basement. It is a little expensive, and the extra features are not that impressive; so if it's a camera or internet phone you're looking for, this is NOT it. But if you couldn't care less about features and only want great reception, The Sanyo MM-8300 is the phone for you. Less

I will definitely change service provider due to constant dropped calls. Less

I've had this phone for about a year and overall this is a good phone but one thing I noticed right off the bat when I got it came to bite me a year later. The way most Sanyo phones sense that the flip is closed is by a small plastic piece on the face that pushes a small rubber plunger on the opposite side (you can see it in a zoomed in picture of the phone). When I first got this and really looked it over I thought "wow, I hope this piece doesn't break". I've been careful with it but sure enough the little plastic piece broke off and now the phone doesn't sense it's closed so the outside viewer does not come on. I have to open the phone to see who is calling, etc. I really like the Sanyo phones but most other phones use magnetic or some of means to tell it is closed rather than a cheesy mechanical piece of plastic. If that piece breaks you're out of luck. I don't think I'll buy another Sanyo unless they introduce a design change for that. Less

...and the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I HATE Sprint and am switching to T-Mobile (I shed a tear as I say goodbye to my Sanyo). I originally had the red version, and it did die unexpedidly. It started shutting off on its own, and one day it just wouldn't turn back on (lost all of my numbers, which was crummy). But Sprint replaced it with the silver one (which was, admittedly, a let down). Honestly, I think my first one was maybe just a lemon because I have had NO problems with this one, so in spite of the problems with the original phone I would still highly suggest purchasing this phone (as long as you're set on Sprint). Speaker/sound: AWESOME! Best of any phone I've had. Even keeps pretty clear reception when you're close to dropping a call. Camera: Good enough for me - used to live near Manhattan and got lots of good celebrity photos. Only con (besides Sprint having some of the worst customer service ever): I think the ring tones are stupid. Size/style: Great - Matte finish keeps finger prints off. Fits well in my small purses. Durability: I drop this thing ALL the time - no problems, not even very scratched up. Less

I love this phone. This is defitnly one of sprint's best phones. I've had this phone for about 2 monthes and havent had any real problems. GOOD ~Like i said my dad ranover it with his car and besides some small scuffs the phone is still great. ~ Has very easy to use features: it takes about three seconds to go from normal screen to texting, camra or video etc. ~If you set it on low resolution you can take tons and tons of pictures (this is good for people like me who take pictures everywhere you go) ~Memory for storing names,e-mails, and everything else is plentiful. ~Seems to fit my hand perfectly not to bulky or anything ~Fits most cell phone cases etc. BAD ~You get to play games(pacman, tetris and bowling) for about 15 seconds then your interupted and told you have to buy the game to play anymore So if you want a fun cool phone !!!!BUY THIS PHONE!!!!
