MobileBurn

Small, durable device that makes messaging easy

from MobileBurn

Don't be confused by the Motorola i465's QWERTY keyboard. Although it is a solid device, it feels more like an entry-level feature phone than a comprehensive messaging phone. The $129.99 price tag might seem large at first but considering that Boost does not require a contract, it could be a value for the right users. The Sprint Nextel version is available for $39.99 with a 2 year contract.

Of course, users are likely to make back that money with Boost's inexpensive rate plans. Pre-pay rates start at $1 per day and 10 cents per minute, and a monthly unlimited plan that include voice, text, web, and push-to-talk goes for $50. Remember though, your risking coverage quality with that cheap price tag - at least in our experience.

If you're looking for a small, durable device that makes messaging easy and you can live with its general unattractiveness, the i465 might be the phone for you....

Ok, so I been fooling around with the pre-paid option for about 3 years now, going from att gophones to t-mobile and now Boost Mobile. I have my trusty BB Storm on Verizon and will probly not get rid of it anytime soon , but just for fun I got the i465 from boost last week and must say , I have been using it a tad more than the BB, Of course they are totally seperate beast, one is for texting and direct-connect and cost me a mesly 50$ a month for unlimited everything and one runs me 130 a month for 450 daytime and unlimited data and tethering. I have been trying to use the i465 more and more for common tast and see if i cant get away from my expensive crackberry addiction. I love it for texting, call quality is great and the keypad, while small, is actually pretty easy and just feels right. Of course the BB beats this phone into the ground and then pours gasoline on it just to irritate it some more but honestly.. I actually love the simplicity of the i465 and will probly be keeping it for a while as my personal phone. If only it could have MS Outlook access :( Less
