I'm having the same problem on my formerly-perfect phone. Forget google+ -- if you read their license agreement, they collect and conglomerate info on you from everywhere, and take it over. Google insisting that we install google+ to play a static image file on our own device, is ridiculous. It is as bad as in the old days, in Windows 95 (1995) when Microsoft did a similar thing -- if you tried to open a sound file on your computer, even though you ALREADY HAD an app to read/play it that came with the system and was installed, Windows 95 would tell you that you had to get online to be able to play it and you had to get a MSN online account to play it — which I believe was not free (I don’t know, I never did it) and which also gathered data from any sources they could find. It’s equivalent to a detective using your IP address and computer info they get electronically from your using them, and also name, email address, birthday, location, and any other information you give them, to make assumptions about you and gather it all together and count it as you, and then sell it to their affiliates (also, google+ automatically creates “circles” of people, and anyone can “follow” you so that they are notified if you post anything, but you have no say over who follows you even after they do it, so if you have a stalker or a crazy ex, good luck with that). Is it really worth seeing a few pictures to give away your identity like this? I now understand why google took out the famous don't be evil because now they are copying the Evil Empire. Shame on them, not that they care. If more people would stand up for ourselves, google and their ilk would not be able to get away with shady business practices like this.

I'm having the same issue. file type not supported when opening pictures. I can take pictures with the camera and share them to social media and they work fine, but cannot open them.I find it strange that so many people are having this problem and not one single suggestion to fix it. Other than install a third party app. No thanks. I want my phone to work as it is supposed to. Not hey download another app to fix a phone that is supposed to work from the factory.

1.Add a folder as ringtones in file manager. 2.Copy or move the downloaded song into that folder. 3.Now go to settings>ringtones &notifications >ringtone.. There you can see the downloaded song. 4. Select as a ringtone... Enjoy ur favorite song as ringtone

Simple as first answer, long touch the song and copy it, paste it on ringtones folder.Go to settings- sounds & Notifications-ringtones-select the song ( copied song would appear now).

I figured it out! My gallery was set to save my photos to my SD card. If this is your setting, the photos will NOT delete. This is what I did: 1. Sort through your gallery and delete the useless photos and duplicates. 2. Upload your photos to a Cloud, Dropbox, etc. 3. Unmount SD card 4. Connect your SD card to your computer and delete the pictures!Even though I connected it to my computer, they still didn't want to delete. So, I connected the SD card back into my phone and ERASED it. Just know, any photos, music, apps you have on it will be permanently gone. After a restart to test it, the photos are no more! (Almost 700) And please, it is imperative that you BACK UP your photos! Good luck!

First, I want you to backup your photos to a computer. After that go to Settings > look for Gallery, tap it > tap Clear data. Check your gallery if there are still photos after that, if there is, delete it from there. Let me know if that works.

I suggest contacting Virgin Mobile first to know if you are eligible for phone unlocking. > The device has not been reported as lost or stolen or otherwise flagged as ineligible to be unlocked > The device has been active on the associated account for at least 12 months with the account active at that time Source

Tried the Settings --> Apps --> thing. Found no manage apps feature, just 4 apps listed. One was uber.com , the others were unfamiliar to me. I'M try to delete pics b/c when someone sends me multimedia pics in messaging, the previously saved (and completely unrelated) are displayed, instead.

Try this: Go to Settings âž” Applications âž” Manage Applications. Go to All tab. Look for Gallery and tap on Clear data.Back up all your media files (photos, videos, audio) before doing this just to be on the safe side.

Press and hold volume down key + power key for about 3 seconds. If that didn't work, you have to install a screenshot app.

Something was eating all the bytes on my phone, but here are a few things I did and overnight I regained 580MB of free space! First, I went to SETTINGS>STORAGE>MISC., I looked at the temporary files I no longer needed. You can simply click on the little check boxes of what you do not need. Some files were stuff from Facebook like Nametests, or even other crap I did not need. Be careful not to delete stuff you DO need. Second, I went into my Apps. Same method as above(SETTINGS>APPS) and took a look at what could be eating my storage space. As I mentioned before, I had no other app on my LG at the time except for Kindle. NOTE: If you have the Kindle App and it is taking too many bytes, Go to your Kindle App, press and hold down on the book cover until you see some options pop up. Click Remove Item from Device- this will remove the book from your phone, but not the cloud. That will free some space guaranteed. Now, back to the APPS area: make sure you clear the cache of each app too. Not CLEAR DATA, just CLEAR CACHE. Clearing data will remove all your stored info for that app. You can get there by doing this: SETTINGS>APPS>CLICK ON APP>Scroll down to CLEAR CACHE of each app of your choosing. I cleared the cache of my Chrome app, Hangouts dialer, Kindle, etc. Third, if that isn't freeing enough space what I did was visit my downloads. You can simply go back to SETTINGS>Storage and click DOWNLOADS and you will be taken to any music you've downloaded(this was a biggie for me) and pics, documents, etc. Delete those if you are no longer using them. Fourth, and finally- if none of this free up enough space(it should), download the CC cleaner app. I used this as the last measure to free up even more space. It will clear out old things you no longer need and lets you analyze what is on your phone. For some reason, a little space appeared but overnight, I had my large storage space back! I really hope this helps someone. For a while I looked for Real answers and could never find any.

Hi Haneef! Try installing Clean Master (link). Use it to free up space. Make sure to read what it is deleting before you do so. After cleaning up using the app, restart the phone.
