Use the Security menu to quickly erase all the contents of your Contacts list. 1. Press Menu > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Security and enter your lock code. 2. Select Erase/Reset > Erase Contacts. 3. If you are certain you would like to erase all of your Contacts entries, select Yes.

This did not work, any other suggestions.

The steps for setting the number of rings before your voicemail or No Answer Transfer service picks up are different depending on which Bell Mobility network your phone or smartphone uses. Don't know which network you're on? Check using the Bell Mobility network lookup tool. HSPA/UMTS devices On the HSPA/UMTS network, the ring duration is determined by the number of seconds to ring rather than by the number of actual rings. You can set the ring duration to last from a minimum of 5 seconds up to a maximum of 30 seconds. 1. On your mobile phone, dial *61*6473832355*11*number of seconds#(see example below). 2. Press SEND. 3. A status message will be displayed on the screen of your mobile device stating that Call Forwarding is now enabled. Example of ring duration set to 20 seconds: *61*6473832355*11*20# Note: If you enter a number of seconds for the ring duration that is less than 5 or more than 30, the system will automatically abort the change and default to the previous setting. The change will be effective immediately and there is no cost associated with this change. For more information, see your user guide for instructions. EVDO/1XRTT devices 1. Dial *94, but don't press SEND 2. Enter the number of rings (between two and nine) that you’d like your callers to hear before your voicemail picks up. 3. Press SEND. 4. You will hear a tone to confirm that the change was successful. If the change was not successful, you will hear a fast busy signal, repeat steps 1 to 3. source

Thank you VERY MUCH for this info, I have been trying to find out how to do this for years, and it is not in the manual, nor does the phone company (LG) have a clue about this, just saying it is defaulted to 4 rings, which is a total pain, as I cannot get to the phone right away most times.It is great there is help out there like you!Linda

Bell Mobility

It could be notification for signal fade or out of service. To turn it off: 1. Press Menu > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Alerts. 2. Select Beep Each Minute, Out of Service,Connect or Signal Fade/Call Drop and press OK. 3. Select On or Off and press OK.

I did and LG told me unfortunatelly this cell device is classified as a through away so the only solution for me is but 2 new cells....I am very upset because these are 2 new cells....I am pissed. So for all of you out there do not buy any cell phone without some sort of replacement clause in your contract....cause having to buy 2 new ones once again sucks big time....LG sorry but you can go to H E double hockey sticks....

I have read other LG Rumor users experiencing the same issue with their phones and none have had a solution for it. The best thing to do is to contact LG to find out how you can send your phone for repair.

You can try using the last 4 digits of your phone number. If that doesn't work you can also try 1234, 12345, 0000 or 00000. If none of those work you should call your carrier for further assistance.

You can also try the last 4 digits of your phone number, or last 4 of your SSN.

There's no other way for you to turn on your phone. Contact LG to find out where you can have your phone repaired.

Hey hopefull2! Are you by any chance with Virgin? I have the lg rumor as well, and I havent been able to receive 2 -part texts for like 3 months...I kept calling in and complaining, and now virgin says they'll cover me getting a new cell. See if you can get the same deal....the problem doesnt go away

Hi Hopefull2! Which service provider are you with? If this problem happens regularly, chances are that there might be a problem with your service provider. Contact them and let them know about this so they can do something about it.

The button with END on it is also the power button.

The LG Rumor has a basic browser. You can access the internet with it.

You can't, LG Rumor does not support the Bluetooth protocol to connect to cars.
