Hi Denis. To transfer pictures from your phone to your computer you can send pictures to your email and download them later on your PC. You may also transfer files via Bluetooth if your PC has Bluetooth capabilities. If it doesn't, you can always buy a Bluetooth dongle for less than $30. You just need to pair your phone to your computer, once paired you can now send and receive files to and from your computer. For pairing with a new Bluetooth device: 1. Open the flip and press Ok [MENU]. 2. Press 3 [Bluetooth]. 3. Press 1 [Paired Devices]. 4. If Bluetooth power is set to off, you will be prompted to turn power on. Select Yes and press Ok then press Ok again. 5. The device will appear in Add New Device menu once it has been located. Highlight the device and press Ok. 6. The handset will prompt you for the passcode.instructions for the appropriate passcode (typically “0000” - 4 zeroes). Enter the passcode and press Ok. 7. Once pairing is successful, select either Always Ask or Always Connect and press Ok. 8. Once connected, you will see the device listed in the Bluetooth Menu and the Bluetooth device connected icon will show up on your enunciator when connected to the Bluetooth device.

My wife has one of these from Bell and her uncle has one from Rogers. Both are one hour late. I called Bell and identified the problem. Before I even identified the manufacturer the tech told me let me guess it is a Samsung when I confirmed that he just said that Samsung was supposedly working on a patch but had no Idea when it would be available. I called Samsung and they played naive ignorance. Because of this I decided that I would never touch Samsung products of any kind in the future.

Actually I had clicked on to answer Why is the time on my Samsung S275 changing to daylight savings time too early? and ended up here. Go figure.

ON my phone the 6 is only to open the browser. But hearing from you helped me keep looking. I thought I had checked everything related. But I found it under tools (8) and then 1 and 3. Thank you so very much.

I own an LG231 and don't know what the temporary password is to set a permanent password. Are the temporary passwords all the same? If so what is it, or failing that how would I set my password.

I called LG help line and they confirmed there is NO WAY you can transfer photos from the LC231 to a computer, be a PC/MAC, via a USB cable, nor via bluetooth. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. What a waste of money to have bought that phone hoping I could use the photo option to take photos and transfer them to an external device. The 'tech' told me the only thing I can do with the photos is use them as wallpaper on the phone. What a JOKE ! ! Any comments, please reply to me at: Gordon Quinn..... email: quinn@videotron.ca

Unfortunately the LG231 does not support data transfer via USB. As you may have already discovered the USB cable is solely for charging the phone on a PC. To transfer pictures from the phone to a PC you must send the pictures to an email address you can access from a PC. You may also transfer files to a PC using Bluetooth if your PC has Bluetooth capabilities.
