The macro camera is a pointless addition, there's no 3.5mm headphone jack and some details - such as the notification light being irritatingly in-your-face behind the front-facing ear speaker - aren't as refined as they could be.

For sure, the Honor 20 Pro isn’t a high-end powerhouse – it’s got a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and weaker screen specs for example – but it blurs the lines between high-end phones and mid-range devices in terms of the features and performance we expect.

The Honor 20 Pro is an excellent phone that combines some high-end specs with a price less intimidating than the Huawei P30 Pro’s or Samsung Galaxy S10’s. Its zoom and wide cameras are good, and Honor squeezes more out of the 48-megapixel main camera than either OnePlus or Asus. Rather useless macro camera aside, the Honor 20 Pro gets it “just right”. It has the right hardware, isn’t worryingly large, lands at a fair price and looks more tasteful than some Honors.

The HONOR 20 Pro doesn't have a lot that's bad with it. There are a few things that are on the bad side, and the majority of it is with the sound and the camera aspects of the phone. Two things that are super important to smartphone buyers right now - though the camera is definitely higher on the list than the speaker and headphone jack. Seeing as this is the camera that they always have with them, it makes sense that it would be one of the more important features of the phone.
