My Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7 won't power on or do anything. Can anyone help?
Last night I plugged the tab in before I went to bed. It was charged to (98%) when I woke. I unplugged it and it said 3% & to plug in the charger. It has been on the charger all day and doesn't show that it's charging or any sign of life.
The thing is 4 days old. I haven't downloaded many apps. The apps I did download were like Facebook and Pandora etc, nothing out of the ordinary. it hasn't been dropped and hasn't froze or given me any other problems before now. But this is making me seriously hate the thing.

One of our Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablets is locked up and is displaying what looks like Japanese. It won't reboot at all. What can we do?

Had the same problem with Chinese language....turned off my tablet at night. Plugged it in to charge and when I took it off the charger it had Chinese words on the screen. Did all the above power starts to no avail....while messing around with the power button and the volume up and down button, I found that the volume up and down actually moved through the line items highlighting them blue. I pressed the on/off button to select whatever it was highlighted and it brought up English info about my tablet. I pressed the on/off button some more trying to see more English and one of those items on the list must have been a reboot. My tablet is now on and showing what it's supposed to show on the screen. Weird....hope it helps someone else!
I just had the tablet do nothing but stay black thing. I really freaked out. Glad google led me to this. The volume/power button suggestion thing did not work for me. But, I tried the holding power button one. After about 20 sec, it came back to life! I am so relieved! Thank you all so much!!
I have the same problem with mine. Verizon told me it was in factory condition from china obviously. They wanted $85 to send me a refurbished one because they don't have a fix for it yet. I got for free, now I know why
my battery died so I plugged it in and when I unplugged it and tried to turn it on I've got Chinese stuff and numbers continuously running as if it's in reboot mode in Chinese . I tried all of the above and nothing's happened not even shut off. Heeeellllppp please
My tablet was completely dead, charged it and it said it was at 50% so I turned it on, it was on for maybe three minutes then froze so I pushed restart but it never powered back on and I've tried everything that people have suggested, please help
Lastnight i fell asleep with my tablet on playing pandora, while charging, when i woke i tried to turn it on, it wouldnt turn on or charge..... so i been researching how to turn it back on then i came to this website so i tried the power button and volume buttom but that didnt work, then i tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds then stop then held it down for 3 more seconds..... than IT TURNED ON ☺
Holding the power button down for 20 seconds then 3 seconds totally worked! I haven't been able to turn my tablet on for 4 days! Thank you everyone for the suggestions!!!
Ive done all the suggestions above and. nothing is working. Even bought a charger that lights up to see it charging and that doesn't work. Let it just sit on charger for more than 24 hours and it still does not show any signs of charging. The tablet is showing no signs of life at all. Should I just take it back to the store? It was a gift so I have no receipt. Also the original charger I don't have but it was using a Verizon charger. I really don't live close by the store so I was trying to see if I could get help online and maybe avoid the long trip. Any suggestions would be a great help
Hey, I got my tablet during christmas and has been through alot. my freinds haved dropped it before. But when i turned it on this morning it tried to start up but slowly went to a white screen then my whole screen just turned black and it wont turn back on? Its happened before but it always used to turn on after? What do i do???????
Didnt work for me either i have the ellipsis 8 ..was charging it ..came home and went to unlock screen there was no power. Im using original charger it came with and power is going to charger tried different chargers as well . Ive tried everything the power button and volume down at the same time ..power button for 20 sec then 3... tried charging overnite .only thing tablet is doing when power button is pushed u can hear it running like when u play a dvd player like its reading ..and every now and then i hear noise kinda like a chirp or something .. just a blank screen
Did it work for me ..holdin power button and volumen down..also try power button hold 20 seconds and then 3 seconds ..any others suggestions???
