Can you use the Pantech CDM-8635 with MTS?

I had a Pantech CDM 8635 cell phone and liked it. If I bought this phone in the U.S. can it be used in Canada. My service provider is Manitoba MTS in Canada.

The Pantech CDM-8635 is a phone that MTS has previously offered in their phone lineup. If it was previously used with a different carrier, you need to have it reprogrammed first before you can use it with MTS.
