Why am I having a difficult time to charge Alcatel One Touch Fierce?

I'm having difficulty getting my phone to charge. I have two slant the connector for the phone to get it to 'see' the current being applied.

That's because your USB cable/charging cable already is damaged. You need to buy a new one if you don't want hassle.
