Here’s an update on the Motorola Morrison we spotted a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to Android and Me, we now know that this Android slider will be powered by a 528MHz Qualcomm processor complemented by 256MB RAM. If you don’t know how that fares in comparison with the other Android offerings in the market, that’s basically the same combo used in the HTC Dream, Magic, and the upcoming Hero so there’s nothing really new here to get excited about.
However, it looks like this baby's built to rival HTC's latest Android phone as it also features a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with 25fps video recording capabilities, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP support, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and 512MB ROM expandable via microSDHC card of up to 32GB capacity. It's expected to be release by T-Mobile on October 21st with a yet-to-be-known retail price. So there you have it folks, the complete spec sheet of what could be Motorola's first Android phone for 2009. Not bad, don't you think?
We're note quite sure if they'll still be redesigning its exterior, but if I had to choose between the Motorola Morrison and HTC Hero in terms of styling, my vote still goes to the HTC Hero even though it lacks a physical QWERTY keypad. Here's a tip Motorola: polish its design a little more so that it'll look a bit more serious, load it with a custom UI overlay, and price it ridiculously low then you might have a potential hit on your hands. Otherwise, you can forget all your valiant efforts as this looks so uninteresting as compared to the other Android options available in the market right now.
