It was earlier this month when the BlackBerry Curve 8520 also known as the Gemini got approved by the FCC. Now, RIM has officially announced it in the US.

BlackBerry Curve 8520

The BlackBerry 8520 is now officially RIM’s first device to feature an optical trackpad veering away from the tradition trackball. Aside from that, it also features a 2.64-inch 320x240 display, 2-megapixel camera, WiFi, a “highly tactile full-QWERTY keypad”, 1GB microSD card in the box, and Mac compatibility which will surely delight Blackberry-using Mac-heads in the country. It will be available from T-Mobile beginning August 5th with black and frost colored iterations as your options. Price, however, is still yet to be known.

The question now is; are you sold on the BlackBerry Gemini already or are you still waiting for more info on the touchscreen-equipped BlackBerry Magnum to surface? The Gemini does look gorgeous, but due to the lack of any retail price, we're willing to wait for more info regarding the Magnum to come out before finally deciding on which of the two to pick.
