Here’s an interesting discovery; Amazon Germany is apparently selling the HTC Touch HD for €619 which is just €20 less than the going rate of the XPERIA X1 at the same site.

Granted the Touch HD doesn’t come with a full QWERTY keypad, which is probably why it’s cheaper. It does have a 5-megapixel camera and a larger display, but lacks global HSDPA capabilities. So, based on these selling prices, which would you rather go for; will it be the slightly more expensive Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 or will you pick the cheaper HTC Touch HD instead? Will it be the Panel Interface or the TouchFLO 3D for Windows Mobile? Or will it depend on which one becomes available locally first?

Though these rates won’t exactly be carried over to the North American region, it at least gives us an idea of how much both mobile phones are selling for at the moment.
