Everybody’s into the Olympic spirit and if you’re always on the road, you probably won’t be able to catch any video footage unless there’s a TV nearby. Fortunately, SkyFire mobile browser now supports Microsoft Silverlight, the Microsoft counterpart of Flash. So, what’s this got to do with the Olympics?

NBC-Universal is broadcasting footage of the Beijing Olympics at NBColympics.com using Silverlight; and through Skyfire, you'll be able to get full access to the site on your mobile phone. Of course, watching it on the small display of your phone is still no comparison to a crisp 22-inch LCD TV, but it’s still better than missing all the action and just reading about it in the newspaper.

When signing up, Gizmodo recommends entering GizmodoAUG in the beta code field. Skyfire mobile browser is currently in private beta for Symbian and Windows Mobile devices.

Update: It seems that the provided code has been used already, but Gizmodo claims they've got 100 more codes at their disposal. I guess all we can do now is wait for them to release those other codes for us to enjoy.
