It’s been a rather long wait, but today, Verizon has finally made the leaked Calgary Android phone official and launched it as the Motorola DEVOUR.

This new Motorola Android slider packs a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, full QWERTY keypad, optical trackpad, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual microphones with noise cancellation, CDMA EVDO rev. A connectivity, Android 1.6 as its OS complete with MOTOBBLUR, and ships with an 8GB microSD card. It’s expected to hit store shelves this coming March though pricing is still yet to be known. The announcement of the Motorola DEVOUR should be good news to QWERTY lovers out there as this newest device coming to Verizon belongs to a very limited number of QWERTY-equipped Android phones in the market right now which include the Motorola Droid, Motorola Cliq, LG Eve, and the granddaddy of all Android phones, the HTC Dream.
