Live picture of the Motorola Calgary (Droid Devour) surfaces

To be honest, we had already given up on the Motorola Calgary considering that 2009 came and gone without us even catching a glimpse of it live in the flesh. This new year, however, is a different story as BGR has managed to get an exclusive sneak peek at it, and judging from the way it looks is primed and ready to hit the scene this 2010.

Motorola Calgary/Droid Devour

The Calgary was initially rumored to be the first Android handset from Motorola. Unfortunately, it never came to be. That particular distinction now belongs to the Motorola Cliq. The Motorola Calgary, which will be released as the Droid Devour on Verizon, is expected to come with an optical trackpad, WiFi, GPS, and MotoBLUR on-board powered by a 1420mAh battery. Those planning on getting this phone for use on another network will be disappointed to know that it doesn’t come with a SIM card slot.

There’s also still no word on when this Android touchscreen QWERTY will become available on Verizon. With that being said, we’re not ruling out the possibility that Motorola will officially announce this baby at either CES or MWC this first quarter of 2010.
