In a previous post, Samsung VP Don Joo Lee confirmed that Symbian is out and in its place will be Samsung’s homebrew Linux-based OS called Bada. We still don’t have anything new to report as to what that this upcoming OS will come with, but what we do have here is a first look at what could possibly be the first Bada-powered Samsung phone.

Courtesy of a tip received by Mobile Phone Help Desk, this image is being purported as one of the first Samsung phones to run on the Bada platform. Its authenticity is still being questioned, but as for the here and now, this is the freshest news we've got to Bada. The specs of this phone were, unfortunately, left out by the tipster, either by choice or lack of it. However, based on the picture, it looks like it’ll with a relatively large display - we’re hoping it’ll be another 4.3-inch touchscreen monster like the HTC HD2 – and doesn’t come with a front-facing camera.

The first batch of Bada-powered Samsung phones are expected to debut in the early part of 2010 so it shouldn’t be long before this leak either gets confirmed or busted.
