Has anyone had trouble with the text message memory of the Samsung U740?

I find it so annoying that when I'm in landscape mode, entering text, previous phrases I've typed in show up as I'm entering a new text. Some times it messes up my whole text, and I can't seem to find a way to either clear the memory of this or disable it from remembering my old texts. I've tried erasing the personal dictionary, and that didn't work. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it!
