Will a Rogers SIM Card from a LG Xenon also work in an Apple iPhone 3GS?

I want to move my SIM card from my rogers Lg Xenon to a Rogers Iphone 3gs. I have read that it might not work but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I am on a shared plan with my dads buisness. I have 2500 texts a month and have unlimited mobile internet. So does anyone know if this will work to just switch the cards.
