Have you managed to get yourself an HTC Magic already from Rogers? Interested in updating to the new customize HTC Sense UI? If the answer to both questions is a yes, then we urge you to read on.
While it still wasn’t clear before as to which HTC Android phones will be getting the new UI, it is now official that the HTC Magic will indeed be the one to receive the new Sense UI found on the HTC Hero. The expected release date is sometime in October, but if you own a T-Mobile myTouch 3G or any of the other “with Google” iteration of the Magic, we’ve got bad news for you. The update will not be applicable to your Android phone as legal issues surrounding T-Mobile’s Android licensing agreement forbids such an update from being installed on your phone.
Don’t get too discouraged, though, as we’re pretty sure a hack is floating around somewhere in the vast universe known as the internet just waiting for you to download it and install it on your T-Mobile branded Android phone.
