Google Maps with Street View has been out for quite sometime now. Previously the app was only available to iPhone and BlackBerry models but now a Nokia S60 and Windows Mobile version is also available.

Additionally, the team has added Street View options for countries such as France, Italy, Spain and Australia where both platforms are reaping much success. Aside from Street View, this new iteration comes with new features including request walking directions, receive transit alerts from participating public transportation authorities, and see what other people think of a particular location by reading reviews directly on your mobile phone. Just remember that Street View isn’t available in all locations, but Google reassures us that they will continue to roll out support for more countries in the coming months.

This just goes to show that despite coming out with their own mobile OS, Google has no plans of isolating the rest of the mobile phone using community. If you want to give this latest version a try, just head on over to google.com/gmm on your mobile phone to download it.
