Here’s something for you guys to get for the ladies this holiday season. Bell will be releasing the Samsung Cleo this November, and based on its very feminine design, this is definitely aimed at the trendy female fashionista. This soon-to-be-released clamshell will feature a 1.3-megapixel camera, full QWERTY keypad and will be available in champagne, blue and pink.
Samsung has likewise signed up to be the official sponsor of the Desperately Different Spring/Summer 2009 fashion line to further promote the Cleo to their target market. Paul Brannen, General Manager of the Wireless Terminals Division of Samsung Electronics Canda, has this to say about their latest offering and marketing strategy:
Samsung believes in blurring the lines between haute couture and high tech, and with the upcoming launch of CLEO we wanted to partner with a Canadian fashion designer who embodied Samsung’s key characteristics: innovation, design and experience, Katya Revenko fits this description perfectly and her Desperately Different fashion line complements the sophisticated design of the Samsung CLEO.
We still don't know the price, but November isn't far away so I guess we'll know soon enough. Unless you've got something against Bell or you're waiting for something better in 2009, the Samsung Cleo looks like a decent mobile phone you can give to that special lady in your life this coming Christmas.
