It didn’t take too long for Rogers to finally confirm that the BlackBerry Storm definitely won’t be featured as part of their holiday lineup, crushing any speculation that the GSM-based Canadian network will offer it this year. This latest development will more or less finalize the carriers in Canada who will offer the Storm under their network: Bell and Telus.

However, we’re still not closing our doors to the possibility that RIM will come out with a GSM-compatible Storm which will, I suppose, be the one offered by Rogers. Will it be the BlackBerry Storm 2? We’ll just have to wait and see. For now, count Rogers out of the running for releasing the BlackBerry Storm this year.
