Research firm iSuppli says Apple has sold more iPhones than its competitors have their smartphone line combined. This also helped the Apple phone take 1.8% of the U.S. mobile phone market for the month of July. ISuppli has also said that Apple is right on track to sell 4.5 million units before 2008 and will have sold more than 30 million units by 2011.
In today's trading, AAPL stocks have risen 4 dollars per share to above $144 on reports that Apple will announce a new iPhone and iPod on Wednesday. The stocks have also been boosted by iSuppli's report.
