GSM Payphone now Available for Ugandans
Summary (AI)

MTN Uganda has launched a payphone service in the African country of Uganda using GSM networks. Called simply PayPhone, it comes with Motorola C113, a trilingual user manual and a labeled apron and hat for the attendant. The service is available for franchizing at 99,500 UG Shs (US$58) for the complete business package. Customers can make calls and send SMS through the service. Additionally, if the customer needs to send airtime to another person on the other end, this is also possible through the attendant. Attendants can reload with MTN airtime cards. The phone itself has sales tracking function built-in. To read more, especially about one happy PayPhone franchisee, go here.
