Haier Announces Black Pearl Micro as Elegance

Haier’s Black Pearl is a tiny MP3 phone (probably the smallest in the world) that we just adored when it went public October of last year. We have never forgotten about this design gem and in fact have been wondering if it wouldn’t be a great second phone, if the price is right. Alas, there’s still no word about the price or availability, though now it’s called Elegance. Besides its MP3 functionality with its own keys, it’s got an FM tuner and Bluetooth. You can also play games on it. It’s got the exact same specs as when it was first announced, and we know we’ll have to get used to the narrow keypad, the only thing missing really is a release date.
