Rogers has officially announced their iPhone 4 pricing scheme, and lo and behold, they’re not going the traditional route. As opposed to previous years wherein they’d usually offer up the latest iPhone at the same price as its predecessor, this time around they’re pricing it much cheaper. The 16GB iPhone 4 will retail for just $159 ($40 cheaper than the iPhone 3G S when it debuted last year) while the 32GB iPhone 4 is priced at just $269 ($30 more affordable) on a 3-year contract.

Rogers iPhone 4

Those who activated or upgraded their iPhone 3G back in 2008 and upgraded again between June 19 and September 15, 2009, and those activate or upgraded their iPhone on or before December 31st, 2008 are eligible for a $480 discount allowing them to get the iPhone 4 for the same price as mentioned above on a new 3-year voice and data plan. Meanwhile, those who activated or upgraded their iPhone plan between January 1st, 2009 and June 7th, 2010 will be eligible for a $250 discount lowering the price of the 16GB iPhone 4 to $399 and the 32GB variant to $499 on a new 3-year voice and data plan. It's not as good as the offer they have for those who have been with them since 2008, but hey, loyalty does have its perks every now and then.

Rogers also announced the return of the $30/6GB plan. This will be available starting tomorrow and can be added to any in-market voice plan before September 30, 2010. Apart from that, they’re also introducing a new smartphone and iPad sharing plan. This is open to those who sign-up on the $30/6GB plan and is available only up until September 30th as well. For an additional $20/month, you can then share data between your iPhone and iPad.
