Keeping in step with AT&T’s announcement of the nuvifone G60, T-Mobile for their part has also announced a new handset in the form of the Motorola Cliq.

Motorola Cliq now official on T-Mobile

If you’ve been out of the loop for the last couple of month, the Cliq is Motorola’s first Android-based phone offering. It boasts of a 3.1-inch 320×480 touchscreen display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, quad-band GSM, WCDMA 900/1700/2100, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity, and a full QWERTY keypad. It also features a Qualcomm 528MHz processor complemented by 256MB RAM/512MBROM, Android 1.5 Donut as its OS, and will ship with a 2GB microSD card as part of the package. For more info, you can check out T-Mobile's Motorola Cliq page for more Cliq goodness.

You can start pre-ordering your Motorola Cliq from T-Mobile on October 19th until the first of November. It’ll become readily available for everyone else the day after, November 2nd, for $199 on a new contract with at least $24.99/month data plan. The pricing isn’t as good as what we previously reported, but nonetheless, isn’t that bad at all. So, now that it’s officially been announced by T-Mobile, the question is – will you be pre-ordering a Motorola Cliq in the near future?
