Nokia released an update to the Lumia 920 that, among other things, fixes a bug in the software that causes blurry images taken by the PureView camera, extends the battery life of the smartphone, improves the start-up sequence and boosts reliability. The Finnish phone-maker also provided a software update for the Lumia 820 to improve the camera's images and the device's battery management. The software updates are available to customers of AT&T and Candian wireless carrier Rogers as of the moment.

- Unlocked and international versions of both phones will receive updates in February.
- The Lumia 920 is a Windows Phone 8-running smartphone with a 4.5-inch display, 1.5 GHZ dual-core Qualcomm processor, an 8.7MP PureView camera with optical image stabilization.
- The Lumia 820 is a Windows Phone 8-running smartphone with a 4.3-inch display, 1.5 GHZ dual-core Qualcomm processor, an 8MP camera, LTE connectivity and wire-less charging feature.
