“The Redmi 6 offers more performance at the same price as many other competitors, and the battery life is also on a good level. At the same time, the Redmi phone offers a very solid performance in many categories which makes it into a reliable companion: a decent case, a relatively reliable GPS, a relatively large amount of storage, a decent touchscreen, and hardly any warming.”

“The phone is very affordable but Xiaomi has cut corner in key areas such as chipset and memory, which results in rather poor everyday performance. The phone just feels ponderous to use and that's today. A year or two down the line it will likely be insufferable.”

The only positives with the Redmi 6 are the dual rear camera with new bokeh effects and a new MediaTek chipset that isn’t as power hungry as other Snapdragon chips in this range.”
