Samsung Galaxy S5 User Manual

Been having the same issues as you guys. Also UK based here and completely unable to send sms unless I restarted the phone every time. I believe the arrows are to do with Voice over LTE and think I found a solution (the arrows haven't come back since I rebooted my phone after doing this)... Go to your settings, use the magnifying glass to search and type More Networks. Go into this and then into Mobile Networks. I think what displays here could be different depending on your carrier or country. Some may have a VOLTE option. For me I went into Network mode and had 3 options.... LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) WCDMA only Mine was set to the top one so I've changed to the middle. All seems to be working ok at the moment!Credit where it's due. Ever since the update my phone has been awful. But I changed the network mode from LTE/WCDMA/GSM to WCDMA/GSM and this got rid of the arrows. So I presume it's some thing to do with 4G.I then changed the networked mode back and tried turning off VoLTE but the arrows stayed, so I really don't know :/

I have had this problem, I called three as i was panicking from other replies regarding battery etc. And its nothing to worry about. It is to do with how the view is set up for notications. Go to Settings....Notification Panal......Reset (next to active) and then resart your phone. Bye Bye arrows and phone is fine.

Like everyone else, I hadn't seen this symbol until the latest update. I'm in the UK and my network doesn't support 4G in my area. But when this symbol is displayed SMS doesn't work. Rebooting seems to solve the problem for a while, but it keeps coming back.

Same problem here, s5. Some samsung apps updates about 8 hours ago when I switched to wifi and since then I've seen this symbol in the top bar and haven't been able to send sms messages.

Thanks for your tip which seems to have worked. I only updated yesterday and it meant I couldn't send sms messages at all yesterday afternoon. Frustrating that there is no proper info anywhere.

I got the same after an update and can't find the answer anywhere. Some have suggested it's lte but i don't think it is. Annoying that this isn't explained

Me too. Software upgrade this morning and it's been there since. I can't find any info telling what it is anywhere

I sent an sms message to 13033 and it doesn't send but comes up draft. My wife has the same phone samsung A31 and doesn't have that problem.

When I send a text it says draft in red on some of them. The person still gets it so why is this and how can I stop this. Also some text sent to me do not come through even on the back of a message I have sent.

I have the same question, the person does receive the text because they respond and the drat in red remains beside there name. I don't get it either and no one I know can explain it either. Can someone educate me. Thank you.

Hi, i cant find the message centre number in my message settings period to even try changing it on my galaxy s5 post lollipop update

Open Messages > press menu icon > Settings > Text messages > Message centre > enter the message center depending on your carrier.

Hi maggie. Can you try check if you can make a call? Also try to restart the phone.

Hey guys, this was my question too and the whole reason i ended up on this page. Every search i did no one would answer this question or said you couldn't remove it. I just reinstalled kids mode and I never had the store app before so i was concerned about my child buying things...... well if you all take the time to play around in kids mode so that you know what your child is using, go to the app store and see what happens! The app store your child has access to does not allow them to buy anything, it simply adds anything they click on to a wish list that you can access in parental mode and decide if you want to download or not. So no worries people, you still have to approve downloads it just let's them window shop :)

Try telling your 3 yr old they can't have every app they want!! How do I remove it entirely???

One of my friends can't get a text through to me, but she can call. I asked this question and was told to have her check her provider for problems - or I should check to see if I may have black listed her! How can I black list? - and how can I find out if she's black listed by some mistake?

Open Settings > Applications > Call > Call Rejection > Auto Rejection list Check if she is there. Also check Settings > Blocking modeAlso, do you have any call and SMS blocking app? Maybe you accidentally added her there.

Maybe the 3G signal is weak in your area. I suggest checking your carrier's coverage map to confirm that.

Did you drop the phone? If you did, you probably somehow broke the screen. You need to cover the cost of repair/screen replacement.If it just turned to green for no reason, then it must be a defect. The warranty should cover all cost to bring your phone back to like when it was new.

why does the green light not flash any more on the screen when I get an inbox message in facebook..it did when I purchased it about3 months ago.I did not drop it.It is a Samsung Galaxy S4......very disappointed with it

For any phone to work with chatr it needs to be quad band GSM. Most phones in Canada or US are locked to a company look for the internatinal version of a phone it will be GSM and unlocked. Canada and US had cell phones before anyone else as a result there are different types of phones being used. in Canada and US. That's why you can't tranfer a phone to everybody else. The company you change to has to use the same type of phone as what you have. In Canada Rogers, Fido, And Chatr are all GSM
