Darn, there are no reviews yet for this phone.

Great durable phone, hall of fame worthy for sure.

I've had mine for almost 3 years. It fits comfortably in my pockets, and I don't feel like a dork when I have it up to my ear. I've dropped it many times and it won't die. I've had mine for almost 3 years. It fits comfortably in my pockets, and I don't feel like a dork when I have it up to my ear. I've dropped it many times and it won't die. The paint job is chipped up pretty bad, but it adds character and still looks like a mean phone. Almost 3 years later the battery is on its last legs, it happened almost overnight. I went to a cottage for a week, and I don't know if it was the wonky wiring there, or the partying but it wasn't the same when it came home. The features can't compare to todays smartphones and thats the only reason why i probably won't spend anytime looking for a replacement battery. Great phone, but I think its time to move on. Less

Can't find anything better. This is the best phone for me.

The main reason I got this phone was because the guy at Bell told me it was the most durable phone at the time. I know they make commission but he was not lying. He claimed that a customer came back to tell him that he accidentally ran over the phone with his truck and that it still worked. He told me that by no means to try this, but that this is what his customer claimed. It is made out titanium, so it doesn't surprise me. I am really disappointed that they do not make more phones out of titanium. My theory is that the cell phone companies want your phones to break so that you go back and get a new one so they can make more money. I have owned the A900 for almost two and a half years and I am in love with it. I can't find another phone with such durability as this. I am probably the most accident prone person on the planet. It's that bad. I trip all the time and my hands are like butter. I've dropped this phone on concrete thousands and thousands of times. I've accidentally gotten powerade all over the phone and the speakers stopped working until a friend suggested that I clean it with isopropyl alcohol and it did the trick. Unfortunately, because of all the abuse I've been putting the A-900 through, he's been shutting off on me(nothing a little rebooting can't fix). Recently, if I shut the phone to hard it turns off and I need to reboot it(a sign that I definitely need a new phone). I notice people complaining about it's MP3 capabilities, but frankly, if you want to listen to music...get an IPOD. The battery works fine, I charge it every night just so that it lasts me the whole day. I just recently broke the swivel camera and for a while there it worked even with a piece missing (but of course I keep dropping it so now it's toast). I loved the camera when it worked :) The only complaint I have is that T9 won't memorize words that I use often. If I have a friend with a strange name or if per chance I want to swear I have to switch it to alpha. I am in need of a replacement soon and cannot find anything durable like the A-900. The closest comparable product there is to it is the Sanyo Pro, but those don't have cameras. I'm thinking of looking for another A-900 on ebay; wish me luck. But seriously, two and a half years and still kicking with all the smashing and bashing. Got to love my A-900. Less

THIS PHONE IS AWFUL!

The only good thing about it is that you can be as rough as you want with it and it will NEVER break. The short battery life is the worst, I charge mine everyday. The bluetooth doesn't work so i can't accept songs and have better ringtones and the ones given sound like a little kid on a keyboard made them up in an afternoon. I LOVED THIS PHONE UNTIL I THREW IT IN ANGER

I had this phone for about six months until new years because I decided to break it purposely over anger, lol. I absolutely adored this phone, I never had trouble with it. I bought it used off of ebay. I once dropped it in the dishwasher and after it dried out it worked normal again! Pretty awesome.... More

Good Phone Functionality / LOTS of Software bugs / Poor MP3 player

There are a few quick points I have to make about this phone. It would be spectacular if: 1) It had a micro slot for more memory. With 50MB of shared internal memory, and no room for expansion, they should have saved the time and money and forgot about making it an "MP3 Player". With no pictures or videos on the phone, you can store 7 songs if you're lucky. And you can't use those songs as ringtones. What's the point? 2) It didn't have terrible software. The software is riddled with bugs. One re-creatable bug is that the alarm will not actually make any sound if the phone is in airplane mode. It's been known to freeze, or behave strangely whenever it feels like it (about twice a month) requiring a restart. 3) It had better design. I use my phone as my watch and calender. But you'll notice that both screens have an obnoxious animation when the phone is out of, or looking for, service. This removes my time and date and is very annoying when I'm in buildings without reception! Less

worst phone ever! don't buy it.

i bought this phone about a year ago and i don't get service anywhere! my battery lasts for 3 hours. i always miss calls because you can never hear the ringer even if its turned up all the way. This is the worst phone you could buy..it easily gets scratched even if you have a cover on it at all times... It takes at least 30 seconds to connect the phone call. i don't get service even in my house. its not worth your money!! you have to charge it everyday and the battery still doesn't work good. The customer service at bell is the worst..i still have a few months left on my warrenty and they won't send my phone in unless i pay a fee..even though i have a few months left.. it has just caused so much frustration and it isn't worth your time. I got this phone when it first came out two years ago, I am still using it so it can't be that bad. The functionality of this phone is very good, simple and predictable. I had not owned a samsung phone before this phone, but learned quickly all of the features. I really only use it as a phone nothing more, occasionally have checked sports scores on the web. The speaker phone speaker sounds pretty poor, but you can still understand the person on the line. Turning the phone on takes a ridiculous amount of time, with apps loading and moving graphics, which is annoying if you are trying to make a quick call before your battery dies. Battery life, as other reviewers have mentioned is bad. After the first month of owning the phone I really became frustrated with the battery life. I rarely make or receive calls my main purpose of having a phone is short phone calls and emergencies, so I just want it to work when needed. The battery life would peter out after a day or so without even using the phone. Annoying as the more infrequently you use your cell the more likely it is you will forget to charge it. Many days have I been out and realized the phone was dead or dying. Aside from the battery I was very happy with the phone, but this annoying issue brings a 4-5 star phone down to 2-3. Less

Solid Phone. No problems here.

Bottom line - this phone is simple and solid. I've been in remote parts of the country with full reception, even in The Baja of Cali, Mexico - made calls to Pennsylvania flawlessly. Very durable also, dropped it many times on construction sites. Pending you dont use this phone to listen to music and watch tv on it I think you'll find this one of the best phones that Sprint/Samsung partnered on. Buy an ipod to do that. I do agree that the battery life is nothing to brag about - so what, plug it in every night or buy a car charger, big deal. Dealing with short battery life is a far cry from getting your razr replaced every 3 months. This phone was designed to talk on and not to email or text. That's what a Blackberry is for. So if you want something simple, small and solid, this phone is perfect for both the business and leisure traveler. Stop complaining all of you and stop playing with your phones so much. Less

I happen to think this phone is absolutely wonderful. It is true the battery life is not as good as others, but with frequent text-messaging and 2-3 phone calls a day, i have to recharge about every 2 days...The only thing, when the battery is low, it does warn you, but if you choose to ignore it, the phone just shuts off after a while. The only problem i have with it is the T9 text entry, i use regular alpha-texting, but the t9 puts words in randomly when in alpha mode and it is a little annoying, but not enough to drop a star. Lastly, the durability is extraordinary. I've dropped it soo many times (concrete, asphalt, hard wood floors, on carpet, in a glass of iced tea (haha it slipped out of my hand while in the car and into the cup holder)) and it works as good as it did the first day i got it! Wonderful phone...Highly recommend it!!! Less
