Speakout is the best if you don't use your phone often. 10cents for text out, free incoming text, 45cents per min on phone..I only use my phone for text and emergency. I'll let people call me, see who it is through call display then text them back

The SIM was probably not read try re-installing it or test the SIM card with other phones.

Can you confirm that there's internet coming from the Wi-Fi network? It may be not providing internet that's why it shows like that.

Check if the SIM card works on other phones and also check if other SIM cards work on the Nokia E63. So you can determine which is causing the problem.

Unlike incoming calls where you can subscribe to an add-on service such as Call Display with Name Display to see who's calling you even if you don't have their number saved in your contacts, for text messages, there's no service yet that will let you know who texted you. The only way for now is to respond to the message and ask who it is that's texting you.
