On Friday, US based Amp'd Mobile announced that it has launched full scale operations after a successful soft launch in December of 2005. The company is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) that resells Verizon Wireless service. Amp'd is targeting the youth market and has announced agressive pricing plans that focus on downloadable content. Both of the handsets that Amp'd is initially offering support Verizon's 3G EV-DO network to make downloads of music, ringtones, and graphics quick and painless.
