HTC has sold five million units of their new flagship smartphone, the HTC One, since launch in March. Although those figures won't match the sales numbers posted by rivals Apple and Samsung, the feat is still impressive given the Taiwanese device-maker's recent woes. The HTC One has been facing production issues, causing limited availability in some parts of the world. HTC also recently lost several senior executives, including Chief Product Officer Kouji Kodera and Asia CEO Lennard Hoornik, following dismal first quarter results. An unnamed HTC executive told the Wall Street Journal, "Orders are pretty good so far and are still more than what we can supply. This is partly due to the shortage of components. When the issue is resolved next month, we will have a better idea if it's doing really well or not."
