Amazon is releasing its own smartphone, and it won't be just another touch-screen device with a forked version of Android. The Wall Street Journal, citing anonymous sources, reports that Amazon's smartphone would have a 3D display. The handset will use retina-tracking technology to make images appear to be hovering above the surface of the screen from all angles, without requiring special glasses. The device would also allow users to navigate content using only their eyes. Aside from the 3D phone, there will be other Android handsets, as according to the WSJ, Amazon is at least four devices at a facility in Cupertino, California.
