The Motorola i412 is a budget oriented flip-phone that features walkie-talkie and push-to-talk modes. Though it is cheap, it still has many features such as iDEN support, bluetooth and multimedia support. The keypad looks dated but is very roomy and easy to use, just don't expect to set any text messaging world records on it.
The push-to-talk features work extremely well and the call quality is great. The speakerphone is loud and clear so you can carry on a conversation even in a loud environment if you have to.
The main problem with the Motorola i412 is that it feels old and outdated. The menus feel like they belong in a phone that was made ten years ago instead of today. They are clunky and slow, making navigating around the options a tedious process. Once you learn how to navigate around you still will have to deal with a very poor quality display. The screen is dim and hard to read, especially in bright light where it is nearly impossible.
The camera is another weak spot as it is only a VGA camera. This means that the i412's camera is not good quality and is not something that you probably even want to use.
The Motorola i412 is simply for consumers who do not want to pay much and don't expect to get much in return either. If you want a phone that looks and feels modern and is easy to use, you should probably look elsewhere and pass up the i412.
