WIRED: Friendly interface. Pleasant, rubbery feel. Sharp photos from 1.3-megapixel cam. Mobile TV looks crisp and clean — The Daily Show on the toilet? W00t!

TIRED: Cramped keypad. Weak speaker volume. TV antenna looks ridiculous when extended. No memory card or USB cable included. TV service available in limited areas; signal can be inconsistent.

I have had this phone now for approx 1 year. This is my 2nd one as the first one was defective and they replaced it. It's phenomenal in all aspects except for one...Verizon. They have been the WORST company to deal with when it comes to customer service and thus, has tainted my views of having this phone again. Right now my phone is broken because of family members who disrespected my phone and crushed it. I am heartbroken as I truly love this phone! The TV worked wonderfully and kept my son entertained at times when we had long, arduous waits. The reception of this phone was exceptional. When others would have trouble, I wouldn't and I'd like to say it was because of Verizon but I can't as others who were having problems were on Verizon phones so I'd like to hope it's this phone. You can't get this phone via Verizon anymore..as I am trying...*desperately* through my local verizon carrier. I can't get it via amazon because I'm not a new verizon customer. Sucks to be me, doesn't it? I wouldn't be at verizon PERIOD if it weren't for this phone right now and I have another year on my contract. Phone great...Verizon not so much. Less

I think someone that has alot of time out of the house might want this phone, so they can watch tv. Con: One drop of the phone and the screen gets scratched easily. My charger cover came off. it is hard to watch tv with a scratched screen so DONT DROP IT Using experience: 1 years Overall it is an ok phone (not the best) if you are out of the house a lot you should get this phone but before you buy it ask if you can test it, because the tv might not work in some areas, and it has an antenna in the back it took me a while to figure that out(The antenna does help the quality of the tv for those who don't know) Less

I had major problems with this phone. I got it because it was so pretty and cute. but that's about it. Ergonomically, it is so hard to get used to since the send and end buttoms are located at the bottom of the phone, squarish design is hard to hold the phone without pushing the side buttons, hidden antenna peaks out sometimes and doesn't lock in so well. Speaker is horrible, battery life is even worse. I didn't even try to mess with the blue tooth after trying for couple of months. DOES NOT WORK. I had major issue with the phone after three months of using it. The screen was going blank when i swivel it up and down. I called verizon and they replaced my phone. but now i have the same problem, but they won't replace it because it's out of warrenty. Here was what happened. When i fist replaced my phone, they told me the battery and the device are 1yr warrenty. And since i have newly replaced my phone, the device has new 1yr warrenty. That was last Thanks Giving time. Now, I asked them to replace my phone, they say well, it's not under warrenty so i have to pay total of $90 to replace my phone. I yelled like crazy, and they said ok, we are gonna change it for you, just go to the loca tech and dignose the problem. so I went, stupid techs couldn't figure out what was wrong. So i asked them im sick of this phone, i wanna get a different brand. But then one of them said that LG guarentees their phone, so i can't get anything else unless i had major problems with it many times. NOW I HAVE PROBLEM BUT THEY REFUSE TO GUARENTEE. I complained to the tech about it and he said "what's wrong with you? customers come here all the time with thier phones broken 5-6 times! and u said this is your second time?".. i was like.. is he out of his mind? that is NOT supposed to happen!! anyways i rate this phone really poor like..really poor. Not worth of your money. Verizon is not helpful, not nice, money eaters. I TELL YOU, I CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS NUMBER 1 FACTOR TO CONSIDER WHEN I PURCHASE THINGS, BUT VERIZON IS NOT IT. so if you consider sooner or later u have to deal with customer svc and the quality of the svc, Go to somewehre else. Con: it calls people from my pocket even with the keypad locked, they break easily, easy to get software malfunctions, battery life slowly lessens, big screen scratches easily. Using experience: 1 years I got my first one a year ago, this past week, my fourth one broke. If i hasn't bought the insurance plan i would have been in some serious trouble months ago. I may have just had some bad luck, but this phone doesn't seem to work well for me. Verizon is good about replacing them, but a phone shouldn't need to be replaced five times in a year. I wouldn't recommend this phone. Less

this is a really cool phone but it does have some flaws that can be quite annoying. 1. when the phone is in your pocket it can randomly hit the send button and call people and you dont even know it. the only way to avoid this is to lock it with the security code. this is annoying i mean who wants to type in a code everytime they want to use their phone. 2. you cant set a ringtone for individual people when they text you. you can set individual ringtones for phone calls but not texts. 3. whenyou flip the screen from portrait to landscape a lot of times their is a lag and a delay. press random buttons and it goes back to normal 4. it is very difficult to browse through the menu if it is closed. its hard to press the up button because the screen gets in the way. it is much easier to browse when the phones in landscape mode but its annoying. overall its not a bad phone but it does have its problems, and i cant say i would buy it again just for the sole reason that ive mistakenly made at least a call a week by accident and then had to explain it to the person i called. id stick with a traditional flip phone if i could go back and do it again Less

The cell phone we purchased on eBay -- an LG VX9400 -- was slightly used but far more economical than buying it new from Verizon, which either charges an exorbitant retail price or a declining retail price in exchange for forcing the consumer into a longer contract. Without eBay, there would be no place to go for an alternative, allowing us to have the cell phone we want without the high charge or the longer contract.
