Great Durable Phone

Lasted my close to 5 years problem free. Much better than the nokia I had before it and WAY better than the Samsung I have now. If you have this phone do not give it up easily as you will find the intuitive user interface and basic but satisfying features difficult to find in a new phone.

Very Durable

I have had this phone since winter of 2003. Since then, I have dropped this phone hundreds of times, left it in extreme temperatures, dropped it in snow, dropped it in water, dropped it more than a few feet (I have been pretty rough with it). I have irregularly charged the phone, let the battery die many many times, and yet it still keeps on chugging. The only thing that no longer works is the original charger. I had to buy a replacement charger that actually clicked into the bottom of it a couple of years ago. With the amount of abuse this phone has had, I am surprised it continues to run without any real problems. Everything still works fine!! It's certainly not the "prettiest" phone with all the coolest new gadgets, but whatever... personally, all I want is a phone that makes calls, and it serves that purpose fine. I think if I were to do half the things I have done to this phone to 98% of the newer phones, the newer phone would have been in the garbage a long time ago. Good little phone. Gets the job done, and lasts forever! Less

A great old cellphone.

I had a 520 as a work cell phone for over 3 years-compared to personal ones I'd had, it is great. Its large enuff for big hands and has space between the buttons and performs better than others I'd experienced. And its tough-I ran over my 520 with a smart car-turned it off and twisted the clamshell as...More

Its large enuff for big hands and has space between the buttons and performs better than others I'd experienced. And its tough-I ran over my 520 with a smart car-turned it off and twisted the clamshell as well as smoking most of the led but it still worked and I used it for another 1.5 years till I turned it in. After I retired I got a new cell and a 3 year plan..and then promptly lost the phone. I wasn't happy-no phone and a 3 year contract. Not wanting to buy another new phone I decided to to rely on the good experience with the 520. So I bought a 520 with chargers etc. on ebay for $11. Its been great for my purposes-its like a Timex watch, just keeps on tickin. Less

Satisfied

I've had this phone for almost 4 years and it has been great so far; I've dropped it so many times and left it out in the sun on my dashboard a couple times; the only thing that has started to go on it is the front display when the phone is closed (only a little bit though). LG TM520 performance

I bought my LG TM520 phone second hand for $45 a couple of years ago and have subjected to all kinds of abuse: dropped it, let its charge drop to zero or re-charged it irregularly and it just keeps on performing. I pay $10/month to keep it active and couldn't be happier with it. Don't need anything but a phone so it's been great.

LG TM520 Not Recommended.

I''m not happy with this phone. The front display went blank after 1 year and now the battery (only 18 months old) has to be re-charged after 3 hours of use. I have heard many complaints about the AATM LGLI battery and of course it is not covered by any warrantee and replace cost is $100 Cdn.!! Probably cheaper to buy a new phone.

great little phone

Except that I am on pay and talk and don''t seem to get the coverage of someone on a regular plan with the same phone standing next to me.... Weak battery

Overall I''ve been very happy with this phone. However, after 2 years, the battery will not hold a charge and I have less than a minute talk time even on a fresh charge. The Telus replacement is $100, which I find outrageous - will be getting a new phone instead.

Very Good Phone

I have been using this phone for over 3 years with Telus.. and its great. better that my nokia. now I guess its time for a new one. the phone been heavly used .. battry still holds its charge 5 days standby and about 6 hours talk.

Disappointing

I had problems with the display within 1 month of owning it. Telus fixed it promptly and provided a replacement until it was finished. But...I have lost calls, sometimes it does not ring and now, I get no more than 3 minutes of talk time from a fully charged battery and Telus wants $100 for a new bat...More

I notice that I am not the only one with the battery problem but they do not want to admit it. Less
