LG Optimus Showtime

I have the same problem with LG Tribute. It says to swipe in any direction to answer calls, but neither swiping nor pressing the buttons seems to work, and calls go into voice mail.

Hi Donna. That sometimes also happen on my Android phone. Just restart your phone and see if you can answer the phone the next time someone calls.

Annoying isn't it???? I have found that if you hold and drag to the right or up, the swipe works.

I have the same problem. Sometimes it swipes, sometimes it doesn't. Not good.

Hey adam. Try pressing at the same time the power button + volume up/down. You can also try home button + power button. If none of the two work, you can just install a screenshot app. There are a lot of options from Google Play. Most require that your phone is rooted but if your phone isn't yet, you can try No Root Screenshot It.

To talk to text, tap on messenger, tap on the screen to Enter Message, keyboard shows up. Tap on the microphone icon, to the left of the spacebar.

The user manual does not mention anything about speech to text. But you can just download a keyboard app such as Swype, as it includes speech to text feature.

To talk to text, on the bottom left hand screen press and hold the 123 button, press change input method and then press google voice typing

No. You cannot tether any Straight Talk / Trackfone telephone to your computer. You will still have to have an ISP for your home computer. In spite of the advertisements saying unlimited data you are actually limited to some unknown number (something above 2 Gb). This is to prevent people from using the service as an internet service provider for a laptop computer. I hope this helps.

The Samsung Galaxy SII by far but then you have to look at the price you are paying for each as well. You cannot expect to get the same features etc., out of the LG Optimus Showtime when it is hundreds (in most cases) less. However, for the price, the LG Optimus Showtime holds it's own and in it's class with say the folks who purchase it from Straight Talk, it's totally hard to not find rave reviews. So if you cannot get the Samsung Galaxy SII because of financial limitations at the moment, go for the LG Optimus Showtime. I really think you will be happy you chose the Showtime, at least for now.

Simply restart your phone. Maybe you just don't have network signal.

I think auto-rotate is turned off. Check it by swiping from the top of the screen going down. Check if auto-rotate is highlighted, if it isn't simply touch it and phone should be able to rotate again.
