Overall, I must say I really do like the LG Glance. It has great battery life and is just about better than any other basic candybar phone I can think of in its price range. It was very easy to use, very light and small, and provided features like Bluetooth, a camera, and GPS - which are always handy tools. The only thing I really disliked was the joystick and that messages were not displayed better. In the end, I would definitely recommend this to any user who likes the candybar form factor and needs an entry-level device with competitive features.

An affordable sleek and stylish entry-level camera phone for Verizon Wireless customers

from CNET

The good: The LG Glance is a skinny yet stylish basic camera phone with decent photo and call quality.

The bad: The LG Glance's woven metal back may seem a little cheesy, and the mobile e-mail application costs extra.

The bottom line: The LG Glance is an affordable sleek and stylish entry-level camera phone for Verizon Wireless customers....

The phone was bought as a replacement for a flip phone that wound't charge anymore. I like the screen better, since it is larger and easier to see everything on. Within 2 months the camera stopped working. I always get a camera start error now when I try to use it. Not worth the money to get that fixed, when the phone only cost $50 on the koodo tab. I am not a web surfer on the phone, so for making and recieving calls it works great. It's the first phone with T9, or "word" as it's called, that I've ever had, so for texting I find it a giant step up from what I used to have!! I use it as my alarm clock most mornings too... Lately however, I'm finding that snooze doesn't always work. Sometimes it will, sometimes an hour or so later I'll wake up on my own and notice the alarm is set again for the next day. Now if I have to be up to go somewhere, I just get up the first time! lol... Overall a good phone for basic functions like calling and texting. EXCELLENT battery life! 4-5 days between charges, probably because I hardly use it. Less

I have the same problem, but it's only been 2 weeks. Did you find any solutions?

Good phones

Software is a tad laggy sometimes and you can't set the locking button timer. Otherwise, a very thin, good phone for your texting and talking usage.

I love this phone except it unlocks in my purse on a regular basis because the two buttons that need to be pressed to unlock it are the raised buttons on the key pad. In fact, My phone has texted many people and even downloaded a number of programs without me knowing it. It has cost me $70 in download fees because the center raised button (which everything hits) not only unlocks the phone it also takes you to the media center then the download center and then is the "OK" button to accept charges. It really sucks. Less

It has great reception, and the battery is really good. takes like 20 minutes to charge, and lasts 5 days to a week depending how much i use it. I have 2 complaints with it, and they are tiny little things: the text entry modes doesnt have T9, just "words", which I mean works...but it doesnt remember what you type, so If I want to say the F word, or any other swear or any kind of slang (it has stuff like lol, wtf etc) I need to manually enter those everytime (yeah i know...big deal eh?) the other complaint is that when you get a text it only vibrates once. once again, TINY complaint...i just turn on the reminder, and it vibrates every 2 minutes or so, so I can feel it if i have headphones in or whatever I wanted a phone that was plain and simple...if you do too, this is the one! Takes good enough pictures for me, no MP3 player (i have never used the mp3 on a phone), no video, just a phone and a camera :) just what I wanted! oh. and again NEVER ONCE HAS POCKET DIALED and its in my pocket at all times! The MOST Annoying Phone

from Amazon
I don't know what LG was thinking when they made this phone. It pocket dials all the time even with a doubble lock on the key pad! It blows my ear out to let me know that the battery is getting low. Voice quality is poor and so is the quality of the materials. Stay AWAY!

Quality Build, Poor Performance

from Amazon
Thin, metal, quality build with unique accents. I've had this phone for almost 2 weeks and the battery is only lasting me 3 days. 10-20% of my phone calls sound very muffled, and it's already frozen on me once - I had to remove the battery before I could do anything with the phone. Will be returning the phone this week.

Love it.

All in all, a very excellent phone. I got it on the Koodo tab and all in all I am very pleased. Pros: Very short charge time. Very LOUD! Web browsing and texting is actually pretty good. Up to 99 (99!) speed dial contacts. Multiple alarms (I do not think there is a limit) Bright, vivid screen. Very solid construction (feels unbreakable) Plug-ins for charger and headphones are very discreet. Good use of side buttons. Built in Bluetooth a plus (especially with jurisdictions adopting mandatory Bluetooth headsets while talking laws) Cons: If you try to send a message and select a contact from the Create Message screen, you can not cycle between letters (ie if you want to text Bill, you can not type "B" into the phonebook- it will only accept the first letter of each number, so in this case, A) Metal backing -- looks t a c k y. Joystick is sometimes too sensitive - you can jump menus very quickly unintentionally. NO PC CONNECTIVITY! All in all, it's an excellent phone that sets out to do what it wants to do and does it perfectly. Less

I just purchased this phone from Koodo mobile using their "Tab" service. Overall I'm very happy with this phone however I do have a few...frustrations: 1. Not being able to set the timer before the automatic keypad lock engages without changing the backlight time. 2. Unable to set personal sound files as ringtones - they must be downloaded from Koodo to appear in the list. 3. The sensitivity of the joystick for some inputs - this is unchangeable. I also purchased this phone with the hard clear plastic case so I haven't noticed the phone not staying locked. A few of my favourite features are: 1. Built-in bluetooth. 2. Excellent call quality and adequate volume. 3. One-peice phone with solid construction. 4. Ringtone 8 makes a really cute alarm clock. 5. Highly-customizable in terms of contact information and allows for several speed dial contacts. 6. Charges extremely quickly and features a long battery life. 7. Bright and vivid screen. All-in-all this is an excellent phone for those who want a cell phone that is just a phone - i.e. not texting or web browsing. Hope that helps! Less

I haven't noticed that it has called anyone. All this self use means that the battery wears down faster than it should. Doesn't look like it will be available much longer. Too bad I still have another year before Verizon will give me a new free phone. Less

Hello everyone, I just purchased the phone from Koodo in March 2010 (on promo for 75.00$) and so far I am very satisfied with it. If you need a phone that does simple functions like calling, texting or using the web that would do an excellent job. The screen is crystal clear and the menu very user friendly. I also like it's sleek style and size, one of the thinnest on the market so far. Battery wise is GOOD depending how you will set up the screen functions and the lights. Reception is also very good (of course all depends from your provider), for me I live in Montreal (my calls are mostly made while driving) and so far no dropped calls, good service as well. In conclusion, I am very satisfied with my purchase especially for the price I paid. Hope this would help in making your decision, if so enjoy it the way I do. Take care and have a great day. Bart...
