Supreme performance for a midrange device
The LG G2 Mini is among the biggest compact versions of a flagship on the market today. On paper, its specs have been reduced in every aspect compared to the bigger LG G2, and its display is neither as sharp nor as rich thanks to its lowered resolution. On the other hand, it provides satisfying performance, and the exact same useful software found on its bigger brother. Beyond that, its excellent battery life, decent camera, and comfortable design make it an slightly better-than-usual entry in the recent "mini" phone trend. Provides most of the experience of the G2 but in a smaller and cheaper package
The LG G2 Mini is a fine example of a mid or low-end smartphone and shows just how far we have come in the last year. All manufacturers have benefited from having much better components available to them this year but LG has done a fine job packaging them up into the G2 Mini.
The size and shape of the phone, along with LG's generally helpful software enhancements make the G2 Mini a genuinely pleasant phone to use. Only the lack of auto brightness really detracts from the experience.

Mid-ranged G2 offers new colours and software features
Not just a smaller G2
A watered-down flagship phone that's too expensive for its specs
Although it bears the G2 name and keeps certain design features like the rear-mounted volume and power buttons and narrow bezel, the LG G2 Mini is in every respect a heavily watered down version of its pricier sibling. The display has a disappointingly low resolution, its processor doesn't put up much of a fight and it has an 8- rather than 13-megapixel camera.
It has acceptable mid-range specs, but the Motorola Moto G has the same power and a better screen and can be snapped up for only £110, making it a much better choice if you don't care about pricey 4G contracts. If yo... Full review
