Hi again Terri, I've been going through the manual myself and I have to agree with you. It doesn't mention anything about chat view for messages in the inbox at all. Are you sure you have managed to access this feature in the past, and saw message threads with separate text bubbles for sender and recipient? Try going to Inbox and pressing Options near the top right corner of the screen to see if you find a relevant option there. Or if that doesn't help, open any one message in the Inbox to see if the option might be present there instead. Let us know how it goes!

(I think) I'm viewing messages in the Inbox. This is what I posted elsewhere: How do I set the cell to show an ongoing text conversation? I can answer a text, but can't see the text to which I responded. It only shows the sender's name and a few words for several incoming or outgoing texts. But now and then I accidentally touch something that shows the whole convo - in balloons, like a comic strip. The manual is not helpful. It only answers minimal questions. Thanks!

Hi Terri. I think I might know what you're talking about. When you are on the home screen, swipe to the right. You will see the most recent messages sent to and from you.

Hi terri. Try this: 1. Touch Messages then Inbox 2. Touch an Inbox message 3. Touch FWD to view the conversation in chat view mode.Let me know if that works.

Hi Terri, are you trying to access chat view through the Messages menu? Or while you are viewing messages in the Inbox?

are tracphones new phones or rebuilt phones?What is the most expensive tracphone offered? If I'm unhappy with a tracphone product or service can I back out without penalty? I am looking for something new with the latest features but don't know much about these phones. my last cellphone was a Motorola flipphone, so I don't know much about sliderphones tap phones data plans etc? The most expensive phone is the lg 505c witch i have and it is a good little phone but it is not android but their is no android with tracfone but there is with strait talk mobile witch is made by tracfone.

The phone will track your locationon 911 calls or all the time. There are no apps to use the GPS for navigation. The only thing available for download are ringtones, wallpapers and games.

To set settings on LG 505c for GPS mode: 1. Touch Menu. 2. Touch Settings . 3. Touch Phone Settings and Location. 4. Touch Next. 5. Touch a setting. On or Off

1. Once you answer or place a call, tap unlock at the bottom of the screen, then press the Clear/Speaker key located between the SEND and PWR/END keys. 2. To turn it off, press the Clear/Speaker key again. 3. To end the call, press the red PWR/END key. source

OK, play music and try to plug and unplug several times. if sound heard form phone just leave. otherwise get replaced the headphone socket.

Also try turning off your phone and remove the battery for about 10 minutes then check again.

I bought this LG505c as a smart phone for the alarm.com system if I can't down load on it, then it can't be a smart phone??

Hey Jim. Unfortunately, the LG 505C is not a smartphone. You can't install the Alarm.com app on it.

I installed it (Paired) my LG 505c to my 2013 Honda Civic. Even though it is not on the list. Seems to be working just fine so far.

Hey India. You have this phone with Tracfone? It would depend which tower is near you. Whoever between Verizon or Sprint has better reception, then that's the tower your phone gets reception from.

Nope, LG 505c doesn't use a SIM card.

I assume that you can by simply entering the email address instead of number.

I agree in the mm size but have had problems with headsets not having enough volume for me. I'm old. the Cellnet 3.5 Boom Mic Headset volume is way too low. My volume button on my phone is 100% and I see no place to turn up the volume on the headset except a small switch near the ear bud and it does nothing. Can you help? Is this a fail purchase and if so which would you prefer for an old man on the golf course. Thanks

The size of the headset jack is 3.5mm.
