Who No Name Mobile is
No Name Mobile is a Loblaw brand powered by PC Mobile, its sister brand, with service on Bell‘s network. It sells prepaid plans only. You can pick up its yellow SIM at No Frills stores, and at Maxi in Quebec, or activate online with a free eSIM. There’s no credit check and no contract. Most people bring their own unlocked phone.
Network and coverage
No Name Mobile runs on Bell’s network, so your coverage matches Bell’s 4G LTE signal. Its plans are 4G LTE only, with speeds capped below what 5G plans offer, and No Name points people who want 5G to PC Mobile. There’s no US or international roaming, so the service doesn’t work outside Canada. Check Bell’s coverage map for your address if you live outside a city.
How pricing works
No Name keeps a short list of prepaid plans that step up mainly in data. Each includes unlimited Canada-wide calling and calls from Canada to the US. You pay before each month starts, and taxes are added on top. There’s no activation fee, and the eSIM is free, while a physical SIM has a small one-time charge. Auto top-up adds bonus data. There’s no phone financing and no price lock.
Who it suits
No Name Mobile suits people who want a simple, low-cost prepaid plan on Bell’s network, already own an unlocked phone, and don’t need 5G. Calling US numbers from home is included, which helps if you have family there. It suits you less if you travel outside Canada or want 5G speeds.
